KEY PROJECTS
JEFIC supports the implementation of high‑impact projects in partner countries by promoting sustainable solutions in the climate and energy, water and essential services, education and economic development sectors. Key projects provide concrete examples of collaboration among network members within the framework of the Co‑Financing Framework Agreement, the Team Europe approach and the Global Gateway strategy.
Other initiatives by JEFIC members
Beyond the key projects, JEFIC members carry out a broad range of initiatives that reflect the network’s global reach and its capacity to support sustainable transitions, strengthen economic resilience and contribute to the development of strong public institutions in partner countries.

Western Balkans
The members operate in several countries across the region to support convergence pathways towards the European Union by promoting energy and climate transitions, resilient infrastructure, sustainable mobility, water management and institutional strengthening. Initiatives include the co‑financing of wind farms and low‑emission solutions, interventions in urban water management, programmes to improve public transport, and innovative instruments to enhance financial inclusion for SMEs. Cooperation with the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF) and the governments of the region facilitates the development of shared pipelines and coordination with national priorities.

Latin America
JEFIC partners contributes to programmes that promote the green transition, ecosystem protection, inclusive governance and social sustainability. Member institutions participate in Team Europe initiatives in key strategic sectors, including energy transition, natural resource management and social inclusion, as well as in joint missions focused on critical raw materials and green value chains. Cooperation with the European Commission also extends to pipeline development and the definition of the EU–CELAC investment agenda — the strategic alliance between the EU and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States — aimed at strengthening political, economic and social ties in areas such as trade, sustainable investment, climate, energy, digitalisation and health.

Dialogue with European institutions
JEFIC partners contribute on a regular basis to European development cooperation processes through continuous dialogue with the Council of the European Union, the European Commission and other European institutions. Members take part in key discussions on the evolution of the European Financial Architecture for Development, the reinforcement of the Team Europe approach and the design of European financial instruments. This engagement supports greater coherence among European actors, more efficient use of EU financial instruments and increased visibility of European action in international contexts.
